Professor Ching-Jung Chen, who is over 80 years old, is a very talented Taiwanese contemporary artist with over 50 years of working experience in the art field. Showing his great passion and persistence to art, Chen combines his art with life experience intimately.
In 1934, Chen was born in Changhua. By 1952, he studied Fine Art at National Taiwan Normal University, and followed Chang Yi-Hsiung to study sketching. Between 1960-1967, Chen went to Japan for further studying, where he graduated from Musashino University, and Fresco Graduate School of University of Tokyo. He has served as Director of Fine Arts Department at National Academy of Arts, professor at National Taiwan Normal University teaching Graduation School of Art Study. Currently, Chen is the emeritus professor of National Taiwan Normal University.
